I read about this place on a chicago hotdogs article in the paper and then heard about it on the Walt Bodine show on NPR radio. I decided to check out Riverdogs for lunch. First off finding this place is a task in its self cause its out in nowhere. It's south of the river market on 1st street.
The place was pretty packed, I was torn between getting a pork tenderloin or the chicago hotdog. I wound up getting the pork tenderloin for 4 dollars.
My cousin Jessica got the chicago hotdog for 4 dollars.
When you get food from this place you have to get it to go , eat on one of two picnic tables, or eat in your car. There is no inside just a little window to order from.
A lady took our order, she was fairly nice. It took about 12 min to get our food, not bad considering there were quite a few people there.
The pork tenderloin was excellent definitely worth the 4 dollar price. My cousin said the chicago hotdog was also good. We had also ordered fries, not so good, I would say pass on the fries. They also have New York hotdogs and Chilli dogs which looked great. If you really want to try something different try the Pig Snoot sandwich. They also have bottle soda if you are thirsty.
All and all a good place to get food from and I will be returning if I can find it again. I give them a 4 out of 5 stars overall.
